Here We Go!

The pressure and time management has kicked into gear and the cranks of wedding to-do's is underway again. It seems to kind of come in waves...you work on some things, and then you wait. Then you get what you were waiting for, and it's back to work you go!

Recently there was a little bit of "drama" with the bridal shower invitations. Some of them got mailed just fine, while a few others were rejected for not having enough postage. However, the post office did not mark through the stamp that was on there when they returned to sender. So, we added an additional stamp and sent them on their way. A few days later, yup the invitation came crawling back! This time the post office had stamped through both stamps and returned it to me. So, essentially we had to put them in new envelopes and send them on their way!

Other than that, I'm trying to purchase things so that I don't have to worry about them later...such as floral supplies, garter, bridesmaids gifts, etc. I'm finding a lot of things on www.etsy.com and have really enjoyed looking through the reasonably priced handmade goods!

Right now we're trying to also figure out what to do for the bachelorette party...which is kind of difficult being that it's a tough economy and I can't really expect people to fork out money for something like that. I know I personally cannot afford anything with my job situation, so I feel bad expecting others to pay for things! Who knows we may just end up doing a dinner and calling it a night. Part of me doesn't really want to do anything. Is that so wrong?
